The Koala ExpressCool close encounters with some of the most popular animals. Zoo personnel possess exceptional animal knowledge and are delighted to answer inquiries. Daily keeper talks are on the agenda, and visitors can explore the zoo while attending these talks, which were educational and focused extensively on the zoo’s conservation initiatives. The zoo safari was a standout experience. Animal interactions are not guaranteed as the zoo prioritizes natural behavior and the freedom of animals to choose where they graze and socialize. Nevertheless, during our visit, we observed several animals right beside our bus. There are complimentary water stations scattered throughout the park, so remember to bring a reusable bottle for refills. The cafeteria offers a variety of standard fare, and a coffee kiosk is also available for quick caffeine fixes. Open range safari in Melbourne, AustraliaWerribee Open Range Safari and Zoo is a popular spot for the young and old! The place was filled with families during my time there. There is a tram that brings visitors around the safari for free. The tour is approximately 30mins. The park closes at 5pm, and the last tram departs the station at 4pm. Unfortunately I only entered the park at 3+pm, and could only catch the tram and not any other attractions at the safari - what a bummer. In the safari, animals are free to roam about the open grass patches and are not enclosed, assimilating its natural habitat. Close Encounters In WerribeeHad absolute fun and a total different experience in Werribee Open Range Zoo located about 40-50mins drive out of Melbourne. You will have a chance to do tours be it the public or pay for a private tour where you will be able to get even closer to the animals and a guide will drive you around in a small 20 seater bus which would go off course at times and not following the public tours. This brings you to an experience into the savannah where you will come up close with rhinos, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, bison and much more. The guide will also gives you a very brief explanation of the animals and allow you to understand more of its habitat and its behaviour. Furthermore, you will also be able to get tickets from trip.com itself, and in addition be able to claim with trip coins too!
