It was a very enjoyable day trip. The itinerary was relaxed and not tiring. Our tour guide, Su Rui, was very enthusiastic, attentive, and friendly. She patiently explained things repeatedly. The bus drove very smoothly, and everyone in the group had a great time. We were also very lucky that even though it was cloudy, the scenic spots had blue skies and white clouds, making for great photos. It was definitely a worthwhile day trip.

When I first started planning my trip, I read some posts from other travelers and thought I could go on my own. However, when I checked public transportation in Giethoorn, I realized it wasn't practical, as it would take up most of the day to travel. So, I booked a day tour instead, which was honestly a bit pricey. However, the tour and experience were fantastic. The bus driver explained Dutch history and geography along the way to Giethoorn, and also introduced the main attractions and buildings we saw. It was definitely worth booking the tour (by the way, sit on the right side of the bus, as most of the attractions mentioned are on the right). Giethoorn is definitely worth a visit; the houses and water of the entire village create a unique, beautiful, and tranquil scene.

Absolutely brilliant, our guide, Ibrahim and our bus driver, Marloes were amazing. They were fun, kind and really enhanced our day. It would be better in spring but we wouldn’t have missed this trip & we would really recommend it.

Aylee was an absolutely fantastic guide. She did a great job of sharing Vincent’s personal story and how this translated into his paintings. Vincent has never been one of my favourite artists but Aylee showed me a side to him I did not know. The exhibition of his work is fantastic- a must see if you are in Amsterdam and so much better for having a guide. Thank you Aylee!
