Highly recommended! The tour includes information about the wall, an entrance ticket, and roundtrip transportation from Dongzhimen Station. Please note! A guide will not accompany you to the wall (they are not necessary). You must purchase cable car/sled tickets separately, or you can buy them from the guide on the bus (they are the same price). There are two routes to choose from: the red route from the 14th to the 20th towers - the most beautiful views, an uphill climb, and a roundtrip indoor funicular ride (140 yuan); the green route from the 6th to the 1st towers - the views are also beautiful, but not as breathtaking, an open funicular ride, and a sled/funnel ride (140 yuan). You can also combine them! I personally chose to only take the red route on the closed funicular and walk from the 14th to the 19th tower (I didn't have enough strength to go any further), then the return route from the 19th to the 6th tower and a sled ride! It cost 200 yuan. The whole journey took me 3.5 hours. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the guide, Maxim; he explained everything in detail, gave advice, and answered the group's questions. Thank you for the trip and the great atmosphere!

Truly amazing day with Leo's Private tour. From morning they picked us in the hotel and we went to tian an men, forbidden city and mutianyu great wall. Absolutely the best decision for me booked this tour. Especially our tour guide Helen Yuan ❤️ . She's the best guide ever! Speaking perfect english, recommend us the best spot for photos and foods, taking pictures for us, and also such a very intelligent woman that keep telling us all stories about the places we visited. She's also always being patient since we need to have more stops while walking the palace because my 6 years old boy felt tired. Me and my family had a great time with Helen Yuan. I will definitely recommend this tour to anybody who wants to save time to visit all amazing places in china and learn history more from local guide tour 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you so much Leo Private Tour and Helen Yuan! The tour with our guide Linda has been fantastic. She was overflowing with energy and her stories about the Forbidden City were incredible. She made sure that we felt okay and that we were understanding everything at all times. Then came the great wall visit, where se took care of all the transportation, then told us stories on the bus microphone while getting there. She let us fully enjoy the visit and suggested different routes based on how we were feeling and our level of fitness. I normally don’t book tours with guides, but Linda truly allowed us to live an amazing experience.


