The hall is built in the typical Chinese architectural fashion and construction commenced in year 1929 in memory of Dr Sun Yat Sen who inspired Chinese democratic revolution. The hall was finished in year 1931, but because of severe damage in the years following its construction, the hall was constructed in year 1998. When you entering the main gate, the first sight you will see is Tianwang Hall, behind of it is Weituo Hall which is according to the legend Weituo was a general who recaptured the Buddhist relics which had been stolen, to the west of is Daxiong Baodian Hall which is the main hall of the Temple of Six Banyan Trees. Chen's Lineage Hall is located in the centre of downtown Guangzhou. It is the largest, best preserved and main culture highlights of the city. The hall took seven years to build from 1888 to 1894 and built with money from the weathy Chen family clan. The complex is designed in a traditional Chinese symmetrical style with the main hall forming the centre of the temple. There is a particularly impressive variety of carvings made from wood, lime, pottery and even brick, a perfect setting to appreciate some exquisite examples of Chinese craftsmanship.<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/010691200081xzhx0993A_Z_1000_0.jpg" sourcewidth="1000" sourcehight="666">
