The journey takes you through the natural beauty of the West Highlands: sparkling lakes, scenic mountain vistas, and romantic and historic castles. Visit the seaside town of Oban, picturesque Inveraray and the haunting Glencoe Gorge in the western Highlands.Departing from the meeting point in Glasgow city in the morning, we will drive west across the Firth of Clyde, where we will pass the famous and majestic rock castle of Dumbarton. Arrive at Inveraray, a quaint town founded in the mid-18th century on the coast of Loch Fyne. Here you can choose to visit Inveraray Castle, which is located in Loch Fyne, Scotland, and is the historical home of the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Campbell clan. Or explore the town's whitewashed Georgian houses, stroll its wide streets and admire the beautiful lake views. Then continue north through stunning Highland scenery, several dramatic castles and beautiful lakes. Pass by Kilchurn Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. It is located on the shores of Loch Awe and is surrounded by mountains. Against the backdrop of the lake, it is as ethereal and poignant as a mirror in the sky. Stop for lunch in the picturesque port town of Oban. Oban is the gateway to the Western Isles of Scotland, so have time to explore this "horseshoe bay" as the town has a perfect horseshoe-shaped harbor for international cruise ships to easily dock. And visit a famous landmark: McCaig's Tower, an iconic 19th-century tower reminiscent of the Colosseum. Then continue past the 15th-century Castle Stalker, located on an island in Loch Laich, to the mythical Glencoe Gorge. The canyon is like a fairyland and is a favorite tourist destination for many hiking enthusiasts. The 16-kilometre-long gorge was carved by Ice Age glaciers and is the site of the famous massacre of the Macdonald family in 1692. On the way back, you will pass through the tranquil and beautiful Rannoch moor and the magnificent scenery of the Black Mountains. The last stop is the small town of Luss on the western edge of Loch Lomond. Here you can stroll along the lakeside to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the town, and feel the white clouds and surrounding mountains quietly reflecting on the lake, exuding quiet beauty!
