Reviews: Shanghai Palace Banquet: Immersive experience of a royal feast thousands of years ago (fine Food and Beverages+ dance performance + Qin Dynasty historical and cultural experience + optional Clothes & Accessories and makeup)

A very good show; we had a great time. The description says the staff speaks English, which is false. So ordering extras and drinks was difficult. Be aware that some seats are behind a pillar.

The circus is small by Shanghai standards, but the show was simply amazing: acrobatics, dancing, stunts, motorcycle riding—we were absolutely thrilled. The kids were very happy! Thank you!

Amazing experience! Make up and hair were absolute beautiful and meticulously applied. I highly recommend this to anyone who would love to dress up and take some memorable photos in Shanghai.
Reviews: "Shanghai ERA Acrobatic Spectacle – Book Now, Scan & Go with Instant E-tickets!"

Mixed impressions. The circus performers try hard, the lighting is beautiful, etc., but there aren't many truly spectacular numbers. The musical accompaniment is 3/5 – in our small towns, almost every circus has an orchestra. The circus story would be nice to have some entertaining breaks. Some things (like the train at the beginning) just appear for the sake of it and aren't really used. Given the number of hidden lifts on stage, something more creative could definitely be devised.
Reviews: UNESCO-listed Thangka Art Experience, Create Your Own Masterpiece
Guest User2025-11-07
Had an amazing time at the Thangka painting workshop! The teacher was super friendly and explained the meaning behind the patterns and colors. It was so cool to try this traditional Tibetan art myself and create my own little piece. The studio had a really peaceful, traditional vibe that made the experience even more special. Highly recommend it if you want a hands-on cultural activity in China!
