The rugged cliffs of this valley form a dramatic and atmospheric backdrop, making for a rare photo opportunity!Next up is the Geyser Geothermally Active Area, where you'll see Strokkur, a nearby eruptive hot spring that spouts large amounts of super-boiled water every 8 to 10 minutes. These boiling water vents often soar up to 25 meters, but sometimes the scalding jets are propelled 40 meters into the sky. Watching a geyser erupt is an amazing and incredible moment. The final highlight is Iceland's famous waterfall, the magnificent Gullfoss ("Golden Waterfall"). The river that flows through Gufoss is the mighty Hvítá (White River).
