The Dublin Protestant Cathedral was located in the heart of Dublin during the medieval period, at the end of Lord Edward Street. Before 1169, it was just a simple wooden building. Although the half-penny bridge toll has long been abolished, Dubliners still love to call the bridge this way, and the Half-penny Bridge has become another scenic spot carrying the history of Dublin. The art museum has a large collection of Western European painting treasures from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. This art gallery, which is composed of four 4-story buildings connected together, has as many as 54 exhibition rooms, with more than 11,000 works of art divided by age and region, including many works by painting masters such as Vermeer and Monet.
