Home to Australia's wild dolphins, it's also home to five species of turtles, birds and gentle dugongs. Our Ocean Discovery cruises come with professional narration to deepen your connection with the area's natural and cultural heritage. With a population of over 700 dolphins in the area, Mulgumpin Island is home to one of the world's largest collections of curious mammals. Five sea turtle species are visible year-round: green sea turtles, loggerhead sea turtles, flathead sea turtles, Pacific Ridley sea turtles and hawksbill sea turtles. Dugongs can forage in seagrass meadows, including our favorite resident dugong, Douggie. Ocean Discovery Cruises offer the opportunity to learn about the region's rich cultural heritage and history. <ul><li>Ocean Discovery Cruises offer unique opportunities to take photos of wildlife, so don’t forget to bring your camera!</li><li>To see a dugong, look for large, dark shadows in the water.</li><li>For turtles, watch out for smaller shadows.</li><li>There is a high chance of seeing marine life during your tour. Diving at the famous Tangalooma wreck and encounter fascinating and diverse marine life. There are 15 shipwrecks to explore along the coastline, many of which emerge from the water at low tide. These wrecks were deliberately sunk between the 1960s and 1980s to provide safe anchorage for ships. Spectacular coral colonies call these wrecks home, attracting a variety of marine life, making this one of Queensland's unique and popular Snorkeling Destination. There's plenty of time to cool off with a swim, relax on the white sand, or challenge friends to a beach soccer challenge. If you're feeling adventurous, you can climb one of the famous sand dunes. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning views and coastline of Moreton Island. Provide the kids with buckets and shovels and let them create their sandcastle masterpieces on the beach. More than 200 species of fish live on the Tangalooma wreck. Feed your food-hungry fish with specially crafted sustainable fish pellets. Watch the fish swarm and splash in the water, and enjoy their Food and Beverages. One fish you won’t want to miss is the metallic silver snapper.
