Dazaifu Tenmangu ShrineLocated in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, it is a shrine built on the tomb of Sugawara Michizane. Together with Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto, it is the headquarters of all Tenmangu shrines in Japan. Michizane Sugawara was an influential scholar during the Heian period in Japan, so many students who prayed for his name on the gold medal list would come here to pay homage.Passing through the torii gate at the entrance, you will reach a heart-shaped pond.
