Lake Tekapo is located between Christchurch and Queenstown, in the heart of the Mount Cook Basin and MacKenzie. There is a small town on the south side of the lake, sparsely populated, with snow-capped mountains in the distance, like a paradise. 1. The mysterious beauty of Lake TekapoLake Tekapo is famous for its mysterious color. As the glaciers in the Southern Alps melt into the lake, the rocks in the glaciers break into fine powder, so the color of the lake is a milky blue. 2.
