Reviews: 3-hour wilderness cruise around Tasman Island, Tasmania [optional Port Arthur/Tasmania Devil Zoo]
Guest User2026-01-13
It was a foreign tour group, and the entire tour was conducted in English. The cruise was spectacular; we saw unique landforms, seals, and the biggest surprise was seeing many dolphins. Brunch was simple: coffee and bread. Lunch was sandwiches. We also visited the Port Arthur historical site to see the prison. The environment inside was excellent and very beautiful, just be careful as there was a lot of what looked like kangaroo droppings on the ground. Although we left very early in the morning, we returned early as well, so we weren't too tired.

What a wonderful variety of the best of the Hobart area! From the Mt. Field National Park forest to the Bonorong Sanctuary and finally the summit of Mt. Wellington we were treated to experiences we could not have accessed on our own without a great deal of driving and effort. Thankfully we had an expert driver who kept us moving but gave us plenty of time to immerse in each location.

Andrew from Tassie Day Tours was an awesome guide and made our day so special as he knew where the rare albino wallaby was likely to be!! He had so much passion about the island he had his childhood holidays on and we fell in love with this special place. Coves, private sheltered bays, ancient rainforests and spectacular beaches! And we visited honey shop, chocolate shop, drive- through oyster place and lots of naturally beautiful locations. Such an awesome day.

Well organised, good commentary, friendly. Short distance from the cruise and very easy to find. Enabled us to see a lot in a short time.
