Hugo, the guide and Eduardo, the driver, made our trip worthwhile. The information provided by Hugo was right on spot. Very friendly and well informed tour guide. It was a pleasure to be with them. Thank you for your support. Totally recommend. As a surprise they took is along the coast, on a normal road, instead of going back on the highway, which was much appreciated.★

The itinerary was a bit unreasonable. The first morning was too early, and it was back at 4 pm. The second time at Rocca was too short, only 20 minutes.★

Carlos was a great guide. He knew the areas well and his pride for Lisbon was evident. We stopped at the iconic picture taking spots around town. There would be no way to cover this much ground while walking and less fun if you did by car or Uber! He took pics of us at the viewpoints and gave us a lot of time to spend up on top of the St Justa Lift (an outdoor elevator designed and built by Eiffel) from the top floor you can pay 6 euros to climb the spiral staircase to the roof. That offers sweeping unobstructed views of the city and we had the space to ourselves even on a busy Saturday afternoon!
We did the 4 hour tour, but I think you can probably see everything with a 3 hour tour. The tower of Belem is being renovated and it’s covered with scaffolding. It was nice to get out along the river though where the air is fresh and cool…plus our hotel was in Belem neighborhood so we were dropped at our hotel after passing by the monastery. ★

It was a great way to see more of Portugal. Joao was a great guide. He not only gave us a lot of information about our stops, Porto and Portugal, he helped make each stop just what we wanted. We went to Obidos and Joao got us samples of ginja, in Nazare we had a fabulous lunch overlooking the ocean and in Aveiro he had us taste a local sweet. It was a definite highlight of our trip!!!
