<p>The winding roads of the Atlas Mountains are not for the faint of heart. So leave the driving to the professionals, enjoy the views and visit the three historic villages of Imouzzer, Ifrane and Azrou. Beautiful lakes, Barbary apes, garden paths and traditional Berber crafts are all on offer. In a Berber cave dwelling, drink tea and chat with the residents and learn about their lives, customs and traditions. Free luxury car ride from your hotel/riad. Spend a great day in the Central Atlas Mountains, visiting Imouzzer, Ifrane and Azrou. First up was Imouzzer, a small community famous for its September Apple Festival. We will stop along the way to take a look at the "Dait Aoua Lake", Morocco's most famous lake, and photograph the surrounding hills. Continue to Ifrane, known as "Little Switzerland", a lovely mountain town founded in 1930. We will stop at Ifrane to see the University of Alkawiin and the famous stone lions. Then head to the various garden paths and French architecture of this charming town. In Ifrane you can enjoy snow adventures in winter and cooler conditions in summer. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive through the cedar forest to the national park, home to the Barbary apes. The Barbary Apes offer a spectacular viewing experience and you can feed and play with them (wild monkeys). Then visit Azrou, a Berber village built by the Berber tribe and the first inhabitants of the country. We see Berber men with their flocks, grinding flour and practicing their crafts, especially decoration and carpentry. We'll take a stroll around the famous Hidden Co-op. Our Berber trip would not be complete without visiting a Berber family living in a cave for a cup of tea and learning more about Berber culture, customs and life. Finally return to the hotel in Fes.</p>
