The Changbai Mountain North Slope Scenic Area Crossing Route is one of the most beautiful in Northeast China, with a different charm in each season. In winter, the scenery is dominated by just two main colors: white and black. This simple color scheme creates an artistic conception reminiscent of an ink painting, which is the most attractive feature of this crossing route. Visitors from outside Northeast China are the most excited, as everyone enjoys the unique scenery.
The forest crossing route in Changbai Mountain North Slope Scenic Area starts near the parking lot, passes through the mountain birch forest next to Xirun, and then reaches Xiaotianchi. After that, you can go to the famous Luyuantan for sightseeing.
In winter, Changbai Mountain is blanketed in silver, and a thick blanket of snow covers the streams. Despite the cold, the streams continue to flow, adding a touch of life to the snowy landscape. Walking through the birch forest, the gentle atmosphere created by the falling snow creates a sense of wandering in a fairyland. The gurgling water and the rustling of the snow intertwine into a beautiful symphony, not one of passionate and sonorous rhythms, but rather of gentle and lyrical tones.
The right amount of snow makes the trip full of fun and winter charm.
Xiaotianchi is a beautiful scenic spot on the north slope of Changbai Mountain. Before the ice and snow cover, it's as emerald green as a mirror; afterward, it resembles a fairytale world. Before winter, the cascading waterfall of Luyuantan flows endlessly, sending mist and dew rising from the water, creating a beautiful contrast with the cliffs, boulders, and birch forests. In winter, Luyuantan's emerald waters disappear, and everything seems to stand still, even the waterfall frozen in time.
