**first day:**Depart from the cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh and enter the Highlands via the UNESCO World Heritage Forth Railway Bridge.First stop in the village of Dunkeld, where you can stretch out and admire the church's peculiar mix of architectural styles.Then we'll pass through the shadow of the majestic Grampian Mountains, Lunch in the charming town of Aviemore.After lunch, take a short walk to Rogie Falls to admire the beautiful scenery.Next up is Corrieshalloch Gorge, a lesser-known Scottish attraction you’ll love, with a short walk through the forest canopy and views of waterfalls.You will then travel to Ullapool where, after a brief stop, you will take the ferry across the Summer Isles to Stornoway, the main town in the Western Isles where you will stay overnight. **the next day:**Explore the rugged coastline of the Isle of Lewis.Visit Arnol Blackhouse and experience life in an ancient Scottish homestead.After Breakfast, head to Butt of Lewis, which is the northern tip of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides and one of the windiest places in the UK.Continue exploring the island, weather permitting, as your driver- Guide takes you through traditional farm towns and seaside ports. Take a walk through the Port of Ness, where history buffs will love the Arnol Blackhouse. Here you can experience what traditional agricultural life was like in these remote areas.After Lunch in Stornoway, explore the west side of the Isle of Lewis to Uig Bay before returning to Stornoway for the night. Don’t forget that this port town is home to Scotland’s delicious black pudding – try it. **Day 3:**Admire the landscape that inspired Harris Tweed.Witness the slender golden curve of Luskentyre beach.It's time to experience more dramatic scenery. Enter the Harris region.Harris is famous for its very high mountains in the Outer Hebrides and for Luskentyre Beach, one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the UK.The area is also famous for its Harris Tweed and its strange and rich legends. Satisfy your shopping cravings at the Clo Mor Harris Tweed Centre.After a morning of exploring the dramatic scenery, stop for Lunch. Weather permitting, we might even have a picnic on the beach. So don't forget to bring your sunglasses.Return to Stornoway in the late afternoon. **Day 4:**Visit the Calanais Standing Stones and try not to be transported back in time.Spend the night in Inverness, the “capital of the Highlands”.Begin your day today with a visit to the Calanis Standing Stones, a prehistoric site that still mystifies archaeologists today.Next explore Dun Carloway Broch - these unique ruins are set on a rocky hill on the Isle of Lewis.After Lunch in Stornoway, you will return to the mainland and head directly to Inverness, our final overnight stop.*Please note that the Calanis Standing Stones attraction will be closed from 1 September 2024 to 31 March 2025 and we will not be able to access this location during these dates. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. **Day 5:**Try your luck at Loch Ness and see if you can catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster.Visit Scone Palace, the ancient coronation place of the Scottish kings.We leave Inverness and head along the shores of Loch Ness. Keep your camera ready in case the Loch Ness Monster decides to make an appearance. Next, head to Tomintoul, a very high village in the Highlands, located on the north side of the Cairngorms National Park, known for its 18th century architecture and central square.We then enter the Royal Deeside, a great river valley that stretches from spectacular mountains to the Aberdeenshire coast.Then enjoy Lunch in the village of Braemar, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Surrounded by majestic mountains, peat-colored rivers and shady forests, it’s easy to see why this beautiful, remote village is a favorite summer retreat for the British Royal Family.From here, head south, over some of Scotland’s highest mountain passes, through Highland Perthshire, before stopping at Scone Palace, home to Scotland’s legendary coronation stone, the Stone of Destiny.Then it was the short trip back to Edinburgh.Itinerary subject to change.
