Everything was beautiful and well-made. I really enjoyed it, but I had trouble with the navigation (my phone was a problem), so I was lost on many occasions. Perhaps adding mini maps with directions for getting from one place to another would help in these cases.
Reviews: Ravenna, the Most Beautiful Mosaics in the City of Paradise

We (2 of us) just spent a day with Federica visiting 6 of the 8 UNESCO monuments. We are experienced travelers and always like to hire guides to enhance our visits. Her expertise on the history and art of the monuments was outstanding, and she made the visit far more interesting. Aside from her knowledge, Federica was a pleasure to spend time with. We highly recommend Il Papavero. They were very easy to deal with over email planning our visit. Highly recommended.

Reviews: Ravenna: Entry ticket to Ravenna "Classis Museum"

The exhibition is dedicated to Ravenna and its origins, spread across a single floor. It also covers the history of the sugar mill. There are also some interesting mosaics to see. The exhibition is designed so that those with disabilities can fully enjoy it.

I thought it would be a guided visit since you gave a specific time. I wad deceived waiting in the cold till the appointed time. VERY UNCLEAR ADVERTIZING. I could have gone on my own to do both places at any time I chose as you only provided the entrance tickets.
Reviews: Domus Tappeti di Pietra Entry Ticket

It was very easy to find as it’s well sign posted. You walked through the church to get to the ticket entry and then descended steps to the mosaics. There is a small shop. The mosaics are preserved in an underground museum and are mostly in-situ. These are wonderful mosaics to see especially the four seasons and shepherd mosaic. These mosaics are Roman or late Roman and so are not the Byzantine glass mosaics found only on walls elsewhere in Ravenna churches. These are Roman and so adorned the floors. They vary in size but excellent to see. The museum is air conditioned and very well laid out. The information is comprehensive and is also in English. The mosaics are believed to be from two houses which span from the 1st to 7th centuries. It has also been suggested that they are a palace of an official. This is a hidden gem not well known but a site well worth visiting. Depending on interest easily 1-2 hours.
