Reviews: New & Cheapest ZIPAQUIRA & GUATAVITA LAKE Visit 5 Sites/PICKUP

Excellent tour. The history of the Guatavita case was very enjoyable, and visiting the colonial town of Guatavita is beautiful—a magical colonial town with a cathedral of gold and emeralds. The ascent to Lake Guatavita is a unique experience. But visiting the Zipaquirá Cathedral is spectacular, something unique that you can't miss. It's a marvel, something singular, a stroke of genius located 180 meters deep. Eating in a typical Llanero restaurant with Colombian cuisine is delicious and fun. But I think everything seemed easy thanks to our guide, Julian. Professional, friendly, responsible, and knowledgeable about everything. 100% recommend the tour.

This day trip is a must-do for anyone visiting Bogota. Our guide was Mateo, and he's is an exceptional guide. He speaks very good English, is very knowledgeable, and always willing to answer all our questions.

Good package with just the transfer and tickets to the salt mine. The driver gave good info as we drove (only in Spanish) and arranged entry to the mine - with audio cruises in English. You then tour the mine yourself (or with a guide in Spanish). He then offered for us to have lunch in town (at own cost) or to look around town - which we did.
Reviews: Private Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral Tour from Bogotá

The Salt Cathedral is a true religious experience, much like Machu Picchu. It is 850' below the surface. One doesn't think of this while walking because of the carvings and Stations of the Cross. The most spectacular part of the visit was Christ speaking on one side of the wall, his words projected on the opposite side and the cross illuminated in the center. It is shown only during Easter week. It's hard to imagine that this could be carved out of the salt mountain.
Reviews: Visit to Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá Private Tour. (5 Hrs.)

Today we took the private tour to Zipaquira. They were punctual. Santiago, who was a very good guide, explained things about Bogotá on the way to the cathedral. Once we arrived in town, he gave us interesting facts. Throughout the tour, he told us all about the history and symbolism of the cathedral. The truth is, everything was very relaxing and not rushed at all. 10 out of 10 for the experience.
