Day 1
Meet at meeting point: Full Day 11:15 am / Half Day 3:15 pm Frankfurt, Wiesenhuettenplatz 38 / SIDEWALK Your guide will pick you up there! Meeting time: always 10 minutes before departure Please do not enter the hotel Le Meridien at this place, we do not pick up in the hotel lobby and also not directly at the entrance.Come with us to one of the most beautiful destinations in Germany: The Middle Rhine Valley. The very spectacular section of the river from Ruedesheim to St. Goarshausen is UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see a good part of it. Tour departure and return place is Frankfurt. We leave by bus or van and you will be accompanied by an English speaking tour guide throughout the day. Only approx. one hour away from the hectic of urban living you will enjoy a magnificent panorama: the winding loops of the lower mountain ranges, the small traditional villages, the steep terraces of the vineyards and so many medieval castles on both sides of the banks. 1 hr(s)
Attractions and Activities: Assmannshausen (Free entry) We will take a lovely and relaxing ride on one of the steamer boats on the river. It is just one of the highlights during this excursion with an average duration of 1 to 1,5 hours. Close to the river edge: Our restaurant for lunch (full day) or dinner (half day), an extraordinary, richly decorated place place and a good choice for a light or hearty meal in between. Your tour guide will let you know more. Also included: an entertaining lesson in the history of wine growing dating back to ancient Roman times taking place in a cosy tavern along with some small tastes of local wines. 4 hr(s)
Attractions and Activities: Niederwald Monument (At your own expense) Only Full day tour ============= In summer time we also offer to join an "open air" cable car ride from the top of the hills into the valley - a short but great experience. The ride is not included in the tour price and can be booked on the spot against a small fee. And finally: if time allows, we will also drive up the hills as well for a view over the Rhine valley - a perfect chance to take home some photos from this beautiful landscape. 1 hr(s)
Full Day Rhine Valley Tour: After approx. 1 hour drive back to Frankfurt the Full Day Rhine Valley Tour will end there at approx. 7:30 pm. ------------------------------------------------------ Half Day Rhine Valley Tour: After approx. 1 hour drive back to Frankfurt the Half Day Rhine Valley Tour will end there at approx. 9:00 pm. ========================================= During low season or in case of high/low waters or other unforeseen circumstances the boats may not operate.
