The tour was really nice and I learned a lot about Moldovan wine production at this winery and also in general. The tour was well organized, they collected me at my hotel and also dropped me of afterwards. Communication was prompt and professional.
I recommend it.

It was good, but still I would say a bit overpriced for a 2-hour experience such as this one. Neverthless the organization and the kogistics around it were perfect!

Reviews: Tiraspol and Bender Back in the USSR Tour

This was a perfect visit to Transnistria. Our guide Slava was extremely well informed about all aspects of the visit and the countries and their histories, and he worked very hard to ensure we were satisfied in every way. Also, Transnistria is not some scary awful place. The border takes one minute, the Russian “peacekeepers” are most non existent (we saw maybe 4) and the people are very friendly and working very hard to beautify and develop the country. A really great way to spend a day when in Chisinau…you won’t regret it.

Slava, our guide, was very good. He knew a lot of interesting things about the place and the country in general. The trip was well organised and we enjoyed everything. We would recommend this tour to others.

Our tour guide/ driver was Ekaterina, and we were lucky enough to have a Mercedes E class for our day excursion.
Ekaterina is a lively, bubbly tour guide full of facts and information.
Our excursion departed on time (despite the dreadful rain) with an easy journey to the border. Once out of Chisinau and past the airport there is very little traffic.
At the border, do make sure you have your passports ready for the border guards, who are not the friendliest of people. Ekaterina knows them all, and our border stop was quickly dealt with.
Despite the heavy rain we visited many of the important sights in Bender and Tiraspol including the fort, war memorials, the MIG jet fighter, eternal flame, old railway station museum etc. Lunch was held at the restaurant "back in the USSR" and was very reasonable in price. The Borscht soup was one of the best. Rain eased up for the afternoon and we had great walk in the park etc.
Little extras we enjoyed was a wander round the big supermarket, stopping at the bus stop (with mosaics) just before the border, and talking to the wonderful folk at the steam train/carriages museum.
We did run late for our return, but this was because Ekaterina wanted us to get the best out of our day, which was slowed up by the weather and the fact one of us walks slowly on a walking stick. Well done to Ekaterina for being kind and considerate.
This tour is popular and well worth doing - especially privately where you have a tour guide just for yourselves.
It was a day to remember
