<p>The White Temple of Thailand, also known as Wat Rong Khun, is located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. It was designed and built by Charlermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai artist. The exterior of this modern Buddhist temple is decorated with mirror fragments, and the mountain-shaped windows are decorated with Nagas (multi-headed snakes and gods of the underworld) and elephants and umbrellas. Wat Rong Khun has a huge mural of Buddha hand-painted by Khositphiphat. These buildings and sculptures interpret the meaning, essence and wisdom of Buddhism. In addition to Buddhism, Wat Rong Khun also sees the shadows and figures of Other religions, showing the tolerance and breadth of Buddhism.</p>
