Our guide, Jojo was fantastic. She knew which spots to go to avoid the crowds, patiently explaining the research centre and panda's characterics. We could tell that she enjoyed the pandas too and it wasn't just another job - which made the tour fun and interesting. Highly recommend getting a tour guide aa the research centre is huge and you may not know how best to make use of your time. Having said that, do get Jojo and you will not be disappointed!★

I felt this tour wasn't as worthwhile as the previous day's Panda Base + Sanxingdui tour. The tour guide only talked for less than an hour. Actually, if you do your research beforehand, you can see Dujiangyan without a guide. The service was still good, though, and the driver was very friendly. The drive from Chengdu to Dujiangyan takes about an hour. The weather wasn't great, so we didn't climb Guanshan Mountain opposite Dujiangyan. Guanxian Ancient Town isn't particularly interesting during the day, but it's much more beautiful at night with the lights on. The blue tears phenomenon is definitely worth taking photos of; it's very beautiful. The rushing and vast Minjiang River and the wisdom of the ancient people were both awe-inspiring.
