Reviews: Hoi An Countryside Jeep Tour: Food, Culture & Daily Life

We are so glad to have found Hoian Background Tours as our tour was so good we booked to do it again the next day but tailored to whatever experience we requested. This way over 2 days our fabulous guides and Vespa drivers, Tham and Cuong, took us through rice paddies on vespas, drove through back roads, early morning fish markets, noodle making, mat weaving, rice wine distilling, multiple water buffalo stops for photos. They took us to drink coffee we’re the locals go, sitting in the middle of rice paddies, amazing food, ( if not the best of our trip at Vy’s bistro & Chef Home). Not forgetting the crab fishing at coconut grove and pulling up a huge fish net with a local fisherman. Amazing tour and wonderful guides! The best tour to choose.

It was amazing tour ! Kuy gives you a lot of information along the tour, cycling is easy with stops, coffee, views ...it's worth to take the guide then to do it by yourself.

The tour is well organised and suitably paced. The day before, the organiser contacted me and informed me about the pick up time. They arrived as scheduled, and arrived at the bottom of Ba Na hills on time. The bus is modern and looking good. The guide is friendly and helpful, and allows sufficient time to experience properly, in my opinion. As a matter of feedback, they could share the entrance QR codes via WhatsApp or similar instead of trying to take a photo of their phone. Great experience overall, I'd certainly love to do it again.

Reviews: Son Tra Peninsula, Marble Mountain and Hoi An Ancient Town Group tour: Depart from Da Nang
Guest User2026-02-07
This half-day tour was booked on short notice; I booked it as soon as I landed in Da Nang that morning, and we departed promptly at 1:30 PM. Although it was only half a day, we visited quite a few places. First, we went to Son Tra Peninsula, where the sea view from the mountain was quite nice; taking a taxi would have cost a lot. Then we went to Marble Mountains, which are mainly caves and not very high. The English-speaking guide had a heavy Southeast Asian accent, but it was still understandable, and he was very enthusiastic, leading us through the entire tour. Next, we went to Hoi An. It felt quite late when we arrived, so after dinner, we only had a little over an hour left to explore, just enough for taking photos. However, the fellow travelers we met along the way were all very interesting; we helped each other, chatted, and took photos, making it a fun and memorable trip.
