Xi'an Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum + Huaqing Palace Day Tour with Pickup

I was well aware that traveling during China's National Day holiday, the peak of crowding, would be challenging. However, I was determined to see the Terracotta Army during my stay in China, which led me to visit Xi'an. My Chinese colleagues had strongly advised me to hire a guide. After carefully reviewing my options the day before, I decided to book this specific tour. As a Japanese traveler, I noted that Japanese-speaking guides were available. Still, I chose an English-guided tour in hopes of interacting with people from other countries. The result was a fantastic success! Louis, our guide, has 28 years of experience at the Terracotta Army and knows the site inside and out. Despite the overwhelming crowds, he managed to guide us through extremely smoothly. His skill in organizing the group and breaking the ice at the start was remarkable, making him an exceptionally well-suited guide for leading a cohesive tour.

Amazing tour. The guide, Louis, is super knowledgeable and kind. He made the tour super pleasant and interesting by sharing numerous historical details and insights, making the whole trip a deep dive into the history of the Terracotta Army and how it was placed in Chinese history. The package overall was great with a duration of around 5h. The tour is also extremely well organized, and everyone in the group got a radio for more easily hearing the guide even in noisy areas. Overall, 10/10 experience, really happy to have booked it with Louis!!

This was an excellent excursion, very well organized . Luis, our guide was great. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the first emperor and the terra-cotta army. He always knew the spots for photos and gave us also time to explore the exhibition. The lunch was okay. The Hua Qing palace was also worth the visit with the brother of Luis. He gave very interesting historical insights and immense extra knowledge. I chose the option with private transfer which is pricey but it pays off because of the comfort. I highly recommend this trip.
