Reviews: Reindeer feeding & Saami Culture

This was a Christmas activity for our family of 5 as we celebrated in Tromso. It is a must-do experience for anyone visiting to enjoy this and learn about the Sami culture. It is a 45-minute journey from Tromso with an amazing view of the snow mountains. You are free to feed and take pictures with the reindeer for around the hour. The main hall is warm and has bread, tea, and hot chocolate. Lunch was bidos (reindeer stew) or vegetarian. Then, a sharing was done by John who is from northern Sami where he shared about customs, reindeers, gakti, etc. Weather is a huge factor in these trips and the tour bus could not return to us for pickup - with an hour’s delay, the crew was very apologetic and hardworking, arranging alternative transport on two smaller Mercedes vans. This experience was memorable and I highly recommend it for the exposure with lovely people!★

This was the most incredible experience of my life. I cannot recommend this enough. I was lucky enough to go to two separate activities with Ronald, dog sledding with northern lights ceremony and the immersive Sami culture experience. Both were thrilling. The Sami ceremonies were relaxing, laid back and very connected to nature. I am so grateful to have experienced this and learned more about the beauty of the Sami culture. This is an absolute MUST if you are in the Narvik area★

Excellent run and organisation; traditional food with a rental pack -> taste, excellent the rest of the menu; very friendly and attentive staff; only during the sliding trip we had introduced something more (small rounds led by snow in the circle on sliding) - but totally recommend 100%ig.
