It's very close to Wulong Ski Resort, a great location. The rental equipment was usable; I rented it for two days.★

A must-do if you're there in winter. The highlight wasn't even the snow monkeys themselves, but the entire trip was incredibly well-organized, and the area around Nagano is beautiful. The food also deserves a mention – absolutely delicious, and there was plenty of free coffee.
