Guide Yang is an outstanding tour guide whose service elevated our travel experience to a whole new level. He is not only knowledgeable and provides engaging explanations, but also incredibly thoughtful and considerate. Throughout the trip, he constantly paid attention to everyone's needs, proactively helping with photos and finding the best angles, creating many wonderful memories. His care for the elderly and children was particularly meticulous, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment during the journey. His lively and engaging explanations, incorporating historical stories and local culture, made the attractions more vivid and meaningful. The itinerary was well-planned, with a good balance of pace and relaxation, allowing us to visit all the attractions in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. He was also very good at interacting with tourists, patiently answering all kinds of questions, so we not only learned something new but also felt warmth and care during the trip. The overall experience was amazing. Linda provided many interesting facts about China history in general and the Great Wall in particular. She also gave good insights of local shopping in Beijing and dropped us at the Pearl Market, which proved to be a great place to be in. Thanks

I'll remember this day for a long time! I'll list the positive aspects: the bus picked us up on time, the air conditioning was on and it was very warm, and our guide, Jessie, was very kind and helpful! She speaks very good English! She explains everything very interestingly and in detail! I highly recommend coming here; we really enjoyed it!

Great tour for first time visitors ! Pick up from the hotel to the meeting point (Dongsi station, if you go there by yourself the guide will refund 20 CNY later). After waiting for people gathering, we left in a big bus at 9 am and arrived at 10:30. We only took the option with Cable car in Trip and it was the right decision. During the ride the guide will try to upsell to other services (Buffet restaurant, VR gaming, etc.), not worth buying, what you only need is to buy the cable car (140 CNY both ways) if you didn’t include it first. The cable car only go to the West section and it’s the most physical challenging, but also the one with the best view. We brought food for picnic and went up to the last tower 20 (stiff climb at the end) and enjoyed the view of the whole walls there. If you choose the Est section it only goes down so easier. It took us around 3h to finish the West section. Then the bus left at 4pm and arrived at 5:45 at Olympic sports center station. Highly recommended!

TLDR: Great day trip experience to this nice resort and attraction beside a section of the Great Wall. Dec is their low shoulder period, so not all shops and shows are open. Best to come in spring or autumn where the lake is still accessible. It was frozen when I was there. Description as is, simple to redeem. Driver was nice, trip took 2 hours to reach, spent the whole day walking thru the town then going up the Great Wall. You could also stay for 2 days 1 night watch the shows, walk the town in the evening and see the Great Wall lighted up at night. Note: lots of walking required
