Reviews: Mama Noi Thai Cookery School Organic Farm Cooking Experience Course in Chiang Mai [shared tour/Private Course/Air-conditioned Classroom]

Joining the half-day morning class at Mama Noi Cooking School was such a fun and memorable experience in Chiang Mai! The schedule was well-paced — starting after hotel breakfast and finishing just in time for lunch, which fit perfectly into my day. The cooking setup was clean, spacious, and very well-organized. The ingredients were fresh, and the recipes easy to follow, with plenty of guidance from the instructors. I especially liked how they explained the background of each dish and gave options to adjust spice levels, so you can cook to your own taste. Highly recommend Mama Noi if you’re looking for a great balance of cooking, culture, and tasty food in Chiang Mai!

One of the best experiences in Thailand!!! A great tour with transfers, including a visit to the market, but you don't have to buy anything. At the school itself, you'll be greeted by very sweet and cheerful girls with whom you'll cook. The school also has its own garden and turtles, which they'll show off and tell you all about. The cooking session was incredibly clear and fun, with lots of energy and useful knowledge. You can choose three dishes, receive a dessert, a drink, make one, and receive a free cookbook.
Reviews: Afternoon Tea at InterContinental Chiang Mai Mae Ping Hotel | Teresa Teng Afternoon Tea

Room 1502 on the 15th floor of the hotel is where Teresa Teng lived. The room currently open for viewing is Room 1602 on the 16th floor, which is sometimes called a replica of the exhibition room. The hotel charges 950 baht per person for afternoon tea and a room tour. We booked it in advance through Ctrip (163 RMB per person). Upon arrival, the hotel staff verified our e-voucher and took us to the 16th floor. We were seated for afternoon tea (the 12 of us chose a larger private room) and were then free to explore the adjacent rooms. The room had looping videos and music playing. The window offered a stunning view of Chiang Mai's cityscape, and below, the hotel gardens. After the room tour, afternoon tea was served. It included exquisite sweet and savory treats, paired with three teas: jasmine, oolong, and chrysanthemum. Each person could also order a coffee. I ordered an iced Americano, which was delicious. My friends and I had a very enjoyable afternoon tea together, and we were all very satisfied with the quality of the tea and the service. This is a truly nostalgic experience worth experiencing in person.

Arriving at the store early, the staff confirmed my order and helped me choose a color that suited me. Then I waited for my hair and makeup. The makeup artist was very skilled. I chose the outfit and hair and makeup package; the makeup was basic. A more dramatic look would cost an extra 800, but the basic makeup was already beautiful. You can also show the makeup artist your preferred look! The staff were all very friendly. My friend and I booked for 10 am, but the store was very crowded. We had to wait to choose clothes, change, and get our makeup done. It was also very hot when we left. I recommend going after 3 pm, after your makeup and hair are done, so you can shoot until dusk and it won't be so crowded. The only downside was that my hair accessory fell off when I finished shooting at the second location. I also realized the accessory was missing a bead…ಠ_ಠ My hairstyle started to fall apart, which was frustrating, and I couldn't take good photos afterwards. It was a shame! We ended up returning the outfit early, but overall it was a very good experience!

Happy to have a taste of shooting at chiang mai, where it’s so expensive in my home country.
