Our guide, Shanshan, was the bridge connecting our journey with the 'ancient mystery' and the 'present charm'.
At Sanxingdui, she was a composed enigma solver. With clear logic, she peeled back the layers of mystery surrounding the ancient Shu civilization, imbuing the cold bronze with the warmth of stories. When she pointed to the 'Divine Tree Reaching Heaven,' we seemed to hear the chanting of the ancient Shu priests.
At the Panda Base, she was a joyful sharer. Knowing every panda's story intimately, her eyes sparkled as she showed us the little bundles of joy playing and munching on bamboo shoots. She not only showed us their cuteness but also helped us understand the significance of protecting them.
From millennia-old cultural relics to the heartwarming paradise of national treasures, Shanshan perfectly navigated this vast shift in time and theme. I felt this tour wasn't as worthwhile as the previous day's Panda Base + Sanxingdui tour. The tour guide only talked for less than an hour. Actually, if you do your research beforehand, you can see Dujiangyan without a guide. The service was still good, though, and the driver was very friendly. The drive from Chengdu to Dujiangyan takes about an hour. The weather wasn't great, so we didn't climb Guanshan Mountain opposite Dujiangyan. Guanxian Ancient Town isn't particularly interesting during the day, but it's much more beautiful at night with the lights on. The blue tears phenomenon is definitely worth taking photos of; it's very beautiful. The rushing and vast Minjiang River and the wisdom of the ancient people were both awe-inspiring.★

We took a one-day trip to Pipinggou with this company and it was great. The guide and driver were very attentive, communicating and preparing for the trip well, ensuring a safe journey. Highly recommend them. They even provide hotel pick-up service.
