Akhiro is a great guide - friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. The whole evening felt like hanging out with an old buddy and bar hopping around cool local spots. He will listen to your questions carefully and provide honest feedback about what's good and what's not so good when it comes to best places to eat (e.g. tourist trap vs. where locals actually eat). A solo trip to Hokkaido can be absolutely amazing! This "Sapporo Shiroi Koibito + Otaru + Mipai Snow Park" tour, booked just for one person, was heavenly!
✅ Shiroi Koibito Park: The chocolate factory is like a fairytale castle. Stroll through the exhibits while enjoying the sweet aroma of cocoa, and you can even DIY your own chocolate 🍫. Perfect for making souvenirs – so impressive!
✅ Otaru Canal: The canal is covered in snow in winter, complete with retro gas lamps – so romantic you'd want to film a K-drama! ❄️ The glass shops and music box shops along the street are fantastic; even the little trinkets you pick up are incredibly exquisite.
✅ Mipai Snow Park: Kids from the south went wild! Sleds, ice slides, snowmobiles… so many activities you wouldn't want to leave. Who can understand the joy of rolling around in the snow!
