Our guide, Miyamoto, and the handsome driver were incredibly kind (treating us like family and friends from afar) and professional (their excellent time management at every point and deep understanding of the local culture and environment), making for a wonderful and unforgettable journey for all the passengers. Before disembarking, everyone spontaneously applauded in gratitude. We were also incredibly grateful to have encountered the second major blizzard of the year, and to have enjoyed the abundant, gentle snow in the Gassho-zukuri village. ☺️★

All the places are great to explore and really nice. Just my opinion, the tour guide should wait for all of us to get down from the bus first then he can started to explain about the place not when we reach down to him, he is done. And we arrived shirakawago around 3:15pm and the last shuttle bus around 3:40pm to observatory. So it is not enough time as we need to walk a bit to a pickup point for shuttle bus. All the three places are so crowded but still nice to explore★

The driver was very kind and drove steadily. The tour guide was excellent; I listened attentively the whole way. In the morning, we visited Takayama and ate Hida beef, which was delicious. In the afternoon, we went to Shirakawa-go, which felt like stepping into a fairytale world. I'll definitely come back in winter next time!★

I booked a group tour through Ctrip, which was very convenient. The meeting point was right at one of the exits of Nagoya Station. The tour guide took attendance and assigned seats. The guide gave a brief introduction to the attractions and then distributed maps. I had heard about Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village from colleagues; it was said to be very beautiful, especially in winter after a snowfall. Although I went on October 7th, the scenery was still stunning. I never imagined there would be such a beautiful village deep in the mountains. There weren't too many tourists, and everyone strolled happily and comfortably through the village.
