1ď¸âŁ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
â Take the cable car to the top (round trip ÂĽ720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
â Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2ď¸âŁ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
â Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
â Rent a bicycle (ÂĽ500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3ď¸âŁ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
â Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from ÂĽ800).

A long journey, but absolutely worth it. The views from the top were spectacular, and the chairlift ride added a fun touch. Exploring Amanohashidate itself was a highlightâI rented a bike from a local shop, and it easily beat walking. I managed to ride almost to the end of the island, which made the experience even better.
The boat ride was another memorable part, especially feeding the hawks and gulls along the way. Our guide, Jay, was engaging and genuinely fun, making the whole trip even more enjoyable. Really appreciate all the helpâthank you!îĽ
