For me I was given too much detailed history of the country before we even walked anywhere. It was a lot to process all in one go. The tour got more interesting as we visited parts of the city. It was a shame that we were taken to eg. St Paul’s cathedral and couldn’t get inside due to the 6pm mass. Timing of tour should be better. Or leave it out. Listening to the tour guides own mother’s experience of how being ruled under communism affected her daily life was fascinating. I much prefer to hear this type of information as I probably wouldn’t find this on the internet or in a book.★

A must tour for those visiting Albania for the first time . Markel took us on an imortant journey through the history of Albania. His ample historical and personal knowledge gave us a deeper understanding of what Albanians have lived through until today. But no, the tour is not a lecture! Markel is professional ,pleasant and friendly making this intimate tour feel like a good friend is taking you around to show you everything there is too see in downtown Tirana Thank you Markel for an outstanding morning!★

It was such a great experience visiting Durres. We arrived at the pick up point which was really convenient for us. The coach was very big, so it was comfortable travelling there. Although the journey was not long. When we arrived at Durres, Bledi was very informative, enriching us with interesting history surrounding the area. Our highlight was The Amphitheater and the promenade where we got to explore for 2 hours. We ended with a short visit to Golem Beach where the views were spectacular and we had time to have a quick hot drink. Overall, a great experience and with it’s affordable price would definitely recommend.★

Amazing hike with the best tour guides, gave us a lot of information regarding the history of Albania and gave us a lot of good recommendations in town as well. Would recommend this tour to anyone heading to Albania.
