From Tromsø: Fjord Tour and Visit to Sommarøy in French

Welcome to Tromsø! My name is Mirko, and since 2018 I've been lucky enough to have the best job in the world: welcoming Arctic explorers like you, and accompanying you to discover my city, the breathtaking landscapes that surround it, and the Northern Lights that dance in the sky.

In the summer of 2025, I started my own business: my goal is to offer you an authentic and unforgettable experience, sharing with you all my passion for the Arctic — for its rich and surprising history, its living culture, its wild nature, the silent twilight of the polar night, and the warm hues of the midnight sun.

On this tour, we'll cross Kvaløya, "Whale Island," a land of fjords, mountains, valleys, and lakes, offering some of the region's most spectacular panoramas.

In summer, I suggest this evening outing, when the warm, soft light of the midnight sun transforms the landscape, enveloping it in long shadows and golden hues; in winter, on the other hand, we'll take advantage of the rare hours of light, that moment we call "the blue hour," when everything takes on magical twilight shades.

Throughout the trip, we'll make several stops to admire the most beautiful views, and I'll tell you lots of things about life here: Tromsø, the climate, the midnight sun, the polar night, the Sami culture... and much more. Feel free to ask me any questions!

Once we arrive in Sommarøy, the "Island of Summer," we'll take a little tour of the village and a break on one of its beautiful white sand beaches.
