Reviews: Beijing Gubei Water Town + Simatai Great Wall private car tour, Chinese and English-speaking driver, one car per family, entrance fees included.

The driver will confirm the departure time and location a few days in advance. He will arrive on time on the day of the trip. Tickets will be purchased for you and are included in the package. The Great Wall cable car requires an additional fee. After we finished visiting the attractions, the driver quickly returned to pick us up. The driver drove very smoothly and safely. The car was very clean. Highly recommended!
Reviews: Gubei Water Town Day Trip - & Optional Night Tour of Simatai Great Wall & Optional Lunch

A wonderful excursion, we absolutely loved it! Everything was exactly as described. We purchased the boats and daytime cable car separately for 80 and 160 yuan per person, respectively. I highly recommend it. The tour price also included lunch in a hot pot, which was also perfect. We visited Gubei on November 16th, and we were lucky with the weather (sunny all day). The temperature was 3-4 degrees Celsius during the day and 0 - -2 degrees Celsius after sunset. Wrap up as warm as possible, as VKS is not only cold but also very windy. Our guide was Roberta, a wonderful woman who explained everything in detail, provided backup and assistance if needed. You can buy a super warm fleece jacket from the bus driver for 50 yuan. If you decide to take a taxi back to Beijing, it will cost around 400-500 yuan.

An excellent and wonderful trip. Our guide, Roberta, contacted us via WhatsApp the day before departure and asked where to pick us up. Then she sent us the bus number, directions, and asked me to add her on WeChat (she later messaged us there). Along the way, she shared a little history (in English). We were also able to purchase lift tickets and a hotpot dinner (if we hadn't purchased them in advance). Upon arrival, we walked as a group to the entrance to the wall, where she explained and showed us where we could see and eat. Then we had free time to explore, meeting at the bus stop at 7:50 PM. We were a bit unlucky with the weather on the wall. The town of Gubet itself is very beautiful and authentic. I highly recommend it.
Reviews: 1-day tour to BEIJING W TOWN + Great Wall At Simatai [optional private tour, enjoy the night view of the water town, hike the Great Wall]

Climbing the Great Wall at night to enjoy the night view was a fantastic travel experience. The tour guide provided bilingual commentary and took meticulous care of each member of the group, so even though I was traveling alone, I didn't feel worried or scared! Gubei Water Town is beautiful both day and night! Definitely worth a visit.

Thank you to our tour guide, Cheche, for making our day so enjoyable. Before we set off, the guide explained the itinerary very clearly, gave us a history lesson about the Simatai Great Wall on the bus, and patiently made sure everyone knew how to explore the area after we got off. The scenic area is truly beautiful, with chubby and adorable cats everywhere. The off-season meant fewer crowds, which made it easier to take photos. Personally, I think the Simatai Great Wall is a must-see; it's truly breathtaking.
Reviews: BEIJING W TOWN + Great Wall At Simatai private chartered tour & one vehicle per family, including admission tickets, multilingual driver

Everything went perfectly. We booked a private tour with a driver. The car arrived on time, and the interior was clean and comfortable. We visited the Great Wall of China and the city of Gubeishui Zhen. The wall here is very picturesque, and since there were practically no people around, we were able to fully enjoy the walk. Gubeishui Zhen is a special delight! A very atmospheric city, stylized to resemble the old days, with every detail thought out. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to spend a day with maximum comfort and benefit!
