The Cathedral of Naples is an important church in Naples, the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Naples, dedicated to the city's patron saint, Saint Janaro. The church preserves the blood of the saint, and the "miracle of St. Janallo" happens every May and September, when the clotted and dried blood of St. Janallo turns into a liquid again. The Bishop's Cathedral of Naples was built in 1272 by the order of Charles I of the Count of Anjou. The nave of the church is very spacious, and the top is decorated with ornate inlays. The 1456 earthquake damaged the church and it has been rebuilt numerous times into its current neo-Gothic appearance. In addition to the church, there is also a small garden and a small underground museum to visit.Naples · 9km from Ercolano

Sorrento is located near the Bay of Naples, with the entire town built atop seaside cliffs. The famous Italian song "Come Back to Sorrento" sings of this very town. The song has been sung for a century and has become a unique cultural symbol of Sorrento. The 16th-century poet Tasso was also born here, and the town square is named after him. The town is surrounded by lemon groves and olive trees, and Limoncello, a lemon liqueur made from local lemons, is a signature specialty of Sorrento. Piazza Torquato Tasso is the central starting point for sightseeing. Next to the square is the Valley of the Mills, a deep gorge embedded in the heart of the city, where abandoned old mills remain at the bottom, overgrown with vegetation. The Cloister of San Francesco was built in the 14th century, with arches and columns arranged in an interlaced pattern along the cloister. Museo Correale houses medieval sculptures, paintings, and local decorative arts, while the Museum of Wood Inlay is dedicated to showcasing the wood inlay craftsmanship that has continued in Sorrento for hundreds of years. Looking out from the edge of the cliffs, you can see the silhouette of Mount Vesuvius and Capri. The streets and alleys of the old town are winding, and the Marina Grande fishing village on the coast retains a rustic atmosphere, with colorful houses arranged along the harbor.Sorrento · 20.3km from Ercolano

The ground is paved with wavy tiles, and cast iron lamps are arranged at intervals with palm trees, forming a typical Mediterranean leisure space. The promenade is about 3 kilometers long and is a popular place for locals and tourists to walk, jog and cycle. There are many cafes and restaurants along the coastal promenade. Visitors can enjoy the scenery while tasting delicious food. Many tourists gather in open-air bars to overlook the sea view. The open space and fresh sea breeze of the promenade make it an ideal place to relax. It is recommended to visit the Naples Coastal Promenade at sunset, when the coastline is dyed with golden glory and the scenery is particularly charming. Piazza Prebiscito, located in the center of Naples, is a must-see for anyone who walks around Naples. The square is very lively, with tourists and local citizens. It is a good place to relax. It can be said that it is not only a famous scenic spot, but also a big amusement park. This square is the largest in Naples and was the center of rulers in the past. Stepping on the marble-paved square, the feeling of majesty and imposing will come to mind. The Palazzo Reale in Naples is surrounded by the Royal Palace and the Church of St. Francis Xavier. The Royal Palace of Naples is located opposite the Grand Place and is a three-storey Baroque building. Built by architect Dominic Fontana in 1600, it has been remodeled many times before becoming the palace of the Bourbon dynasty after the 18th century. Entering the palace, on the eight huge walls in front of it, there are eight marble statues of famous kings in the past, filled with the essence of Baroque architecture. After the end of the Naples dynasty, the palace has been converted into the National Library since 1925. In addition to a small court theater and a national library, the palace also displays the living rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and Porcelain, furniture, paintings and works of art from the 18th and 19th centuries. Another important building that accompanies St. Francis Xavier in Piazza Prebisci is St. Francis Xavier's Church, famous for its imitation of the Pantheon in Rome. The main hall is a circular building with a dome, and there are exquisite frescoes inside, which symbolize the majesty of God in the sky and the universe. The church was built at the beginning of the 19th century by Joachim Murat, king of the Bonaparte family who ruled Naples, who planned the square and its buildings to be dedicated to Napoleon. After the fall of Napoleon and the restoration of the Bourbon Dynasty, Ferdinand IV continued to complete the building, but after it was completed in 1816, it belonged to the church and was dedicated to Paul St. Francis, who was a monk here in the 16th century, so it is named after him to this day. Standing in front of the cathedral, you can feel its magnificent and broad momentum.Naples · 8.9km from Ercolano

Umberto I Promenade is a famous shopping street in Naples, opposite the San Carlo Theatre. This promenade is quite similar to the famous arcade of Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, with a cross-shaped plan with a transparent glass roof and a dome in the middle. The Umberto I promenade was built in 1887. The 56-meter-high arched glass dome is particularly beautiful against the blue sky. The streets are cross-shaped, and the ground is decorated with exquisite mosaics. Now the Umberto I promenade is not as prosperous as it used to be, and many shops are empty and lack popularity.Naples · 9km from Ercolano

Church of the New Jesus dates back to the 16th century. It was originally a palace built in 1470, which was later given to the Jesuits and converted into a church. Because the Jesuits already had aChurch of Jesusin Naples, it was named the Church of the New Jesus. This is a magnificent Renaissance building in Naples and one of the oldest churches in the city. The church's exterior is unique, featuring a pyramid-shaped facade of ashlar stones. A 17th-century spruce wood dome structure supports the arched ceiling, and the architecture itself is truly eye-catching. The interior is luxuriously decorated with marble, stucco, and frescoes. Many important events are held at the Church of the New Jesus, and many locals come here for worship on Saturdays.Naples · 9.2km from Ercolano

Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula in the province of Salerno, southern Italy. It extends from Positano in the west to Vietri sul Mare in the east, with over a dozen coastal towns built into the cliffs along the way. Steep cliffs, terraced hillsides, and the deep blue Tyrrhenian Sea form the core scenery here. The terraces are planted with lemon trees, grapevines, and olive trees, presenting a typical Mediterranean coastal landscape. The representative towns along the coast each have their own unique characteristics. Positano is famous for its cascading colorful houses and steep stone steps, with buildings clinging to the hillside from the beach upwards; the town of Amalfi was once the center of a medieval maritime republic, and it is filled with narrow alleys and staircases, where the facade of theCathedral of St. Andrew, blending Arab and Norman styles, is a landmark of the town; Ravello sits high on a ridge, and the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone offer views overlooking the entire coastline, among which the "Terrace of Infinity" at Villa Cimbrone is a viewing spot for a panoramic view of the coast. Vietri sul Mare is known for its traditional handmade ceramics, and colorful pottery shops can be seen everywhere in the town. The "Path of the Gods" from Agerola to Positano is a classic hiking route. It follows the ridge, offering high-altitude views of the coastline and the full panorama of the towns along the way. The region is famous for a slender variety of Amalfi lemon, and the local limoncello made from it is also a specialty. The coastal road is winding and narrow, prone to traffic jams in summer, and ferries are also available for travel between the towns.Amalfi · 28.9km from Ercolano

It is a famous cathedral in the area. The interior decoration of the church is quite exquisite, with carvings everywhere and lifelike statues of people. What attracted my attention most was a square sculpture next to the altar. There were skulls and human bones in grids.
