Pretty good excursion once the tour guide finally picked us up. We waited an hour after our flight and were told they had been waiting for us, but I'm not convinced. They had our phone number, so can't figure out why they didn't call. Anyway, the sites were interesting and they dropped us off at our hotel after which was what we wanted. If I were to do the tour again, I'd do it with just the driver-don't feel the guide added much to the tour.★

This was an incredible trip. We had to wake up very early and drive a good 3-4 hours each way but it was very well worth the trouble. You can also sleep on the way there and back in the van. We were taken by Van and it was comfortable with air conditioning. We slept on and off so it didn’t feel that bad. They make one stop each way. There are two drivers who switch off so that actually made me feel safer. You are about 50km from the Sudanese border and it has not always been the safest area but it was perfectly safe when we were there. Now for the pièce de résistance: the Temples themselves! WOW! It was worth the drive and the early wake up. The history and information provided by our wonderful guide Marcos was great. And the sites themselves were an absolute marvel. We really enjoyed our time here. The only negative thing about the visit was the annoying shop keepers on your way out, but that is on par with every site you visit in Egypt. You can’t escape it. And the restaurants drinks are outrageously priced to the point where it’s criminal but otherwise it was an incredible visit. And Nice Tours gave us all a little gift of a scarab bracelet which I thought was a lovely gift!★

It was a great experience with our driver who was very friendly and brought us to the two amazing temples. There were two great tourguides waiting for us and told us everything in a great way. I would really recommend it as the two temples were nearly empty and we really got some time to look around.★

Reviews: Transfer from Aswan to Luxor

We decided not to take the boat from Aswan to Luxor as we wanted flexibility and not to be with a huge group when we saw the temples on rout. The best option we felt for our needs was a private transfer. The driver did a good job through the winding roads which were often filled with traffic. He did not speak English, but communicated well with Google Translate, so it was not a problem for us. We appreciated not only seeing the temples en route, but taking in the local life-from small villages to farms and the Nile Valley. If you are considering this trip, be aware it is quite long as there are no major roads between the cities if you are going to see the temples. Still we loved our day!
