This is a thrilling adventure and highly recommended. The guide, Kris, was knowledgable and took the time to explain safety first and the experience overall! We saw beautiful sites of Bulgaria including mountains, villages and nature. The thrill involved driving through water puddles, treacherous terrain, hills and rocks accelerating at full speed. We saw lots of domesticated animals and birds. The photo memory was special and the history along the way of the sites and the waterfall was very insightful. Will be back to do this experience in the winter. A highlight for my 11 yr old son this summer for sure! Thanks Kris and team!

A fantastic experience! Both attractions are well worth visiting. Those who enjoy history and culture shouldn't miss Boyana Cathedral; it's small, but the frescoes inside are fascinating (one depicts the Last Supper, predating Leonardo da Vinci's version, with a completely different composition). Our guide, Martin, was incredibly kind and his explanations were very entertaining, like listening to a stand-up comedy routine—he really knew how to keep everyone engaged. Also, if you buy bread outside the Rila Monastery, there are three types. The best is the Traditional (middle denomination, 1 local currency). The other two are enormous, weighing a pound (750 grams)! The day before the trip, you'll receive an email with the meeting time and guide's name; arriving 10 minutes early is usually sufficient.
