A friendly young female guide skillfully led us through the night to interesting aurora viewing spots! The bus driver was also friendly! Pick-up was directly in front of our accommodation, so we didn't have to walk far in the cold.

My winter day trip was spectacular with one other couple from my country and our tour guide, Layse M. Specifically, we went to (in no particular order) Marble Canyon - Yoho National Park - Emerald Lake - Natural Bridge - Lake Louise - Banff Town. Layse was very informative about the history and cultural heritage of Banff National Park (and all the sub-parks). Going at this time of year, certain parks are closed off, such as Moraine Lac, to those of the general public who aren’t aware of the safety concerns this time of year. If you are new to snow, consider bringing along snow spikes, however the parks are decently equipped with guard rails as well if you like to climb. Thank you to Layse and Westar Travel for a great time to connect with the Canadian Rockies.


