I visited Sanxingdui on my birthday, which coincidentally is the same year the major discovery was made (1986)! It was an incredible experience. The museum perfectly showcases the mysterious Shu civilization, with its one-of-a-kind bronze figures and captivating gold masks. The artifacts are so different from other ancient Chinese cultures, making you wonder about their origins. A truly unforgettable and mind-blowing place.

It's so rare! Our guide, Ms. Liu, was the only one who used a tablet to show us various knowledge points, connecting history to tell us a story, enriching the Sanxingdui tale, and making history three-dimensional. What was presented to us was not just the artifacts themselves, but also the history behind them. History encompasses various dimensions of time and space. When we look at artifacts, we don't just look at the artifacts themselves and the cold text descriptions. We need to use explanations to bring the ancient life contained in the artifacts back to life. Ms. Liu was very good, extremely good.

Our guide Xiaxia was fantastic today! She was incredibly dedicated and responsible, starting preparations for us the day before. Knowing we were driving, she reminded us of the nearest parking spot on the day of the tour. We arrived a little late, but Xiaxia cleverly planned the route, avoiding crowds, and led us on a stunning tour of the ancient Shu civilization. The only downside was that the platform could have reminded us in advance if we needed headsets, as the area was quite crowded and noisy, and sometimes we couldn't hear the explanations.

The atmosphere was fantastic. Soft Chinese music played in the background during the boat ride. They even stopped at a bridge for photos, which was beautiful. I highly recommend it! It's very easy to get there; just one train stop from Chunxi station and a short walk. There's a discount for taller children. The ticket alone costs ¥88, similar to buying through Trip.
