Similar to the planned itinerary, but the waterfalls and order were changed. The guide's Mandarin accent was a bit heavy, so you had to concentrate to understand. Be sure to confirm the final pick-up time the day before the trip, as it may change; the bus will arrive on time.
10:00-10:20 Mae Klang Waterfall
As soon as we got off the bus, a group of dogs surrounded the guide, who opened a bag of dog food to feed them. The dogs followed us to the waterfall and then escorted us back to the bus.
10:45-11:15 Vajirathan Waterfall
11:30-12:10 Karen Village
12:15-12:50 Lunch at the Karen Village area
The roasted chicken was quite delicious, crispy skin, tender meat, and still juicy. Stir-fried vegetables, fried eggs, and wild vegetable and seaweed soup.
13:20 Thailand's highest point. Arriving at the shuttle point to wait for the Air Force vehicle.
13:45-14:45 King's Tower and Queen's Tower.
The King's Tower is simpler than the Queen's Tower; the escalator was under repair, so we had to walk up the stairs in the rain.
Return trip also on the Air Force vehicle.
15:00-15:10 Hmong mountain village. Some dried fruit and common snacks.

Well-built itinerary. We expected rain during the trip. The guide stopped at a 7/11 at the outskirt of the city, so we could buy the rain coats and use the restrooms. Lunch was included in the Itinerary and was simple - rice, omelets, grilled chicken, stir-fried veggies and soup with 1 bottle of water. We could not see the twin pagodas as they were mist over. Overall it was a nice trip in the monsoon season.★

Our itinerary was quite packed. After the bus was full, we went to a service area by the highway for breakfast (at our own expense), or we could go before the group met up. Then we went to see the waterfalls. There was also food available at the waterfalls; if you chose the hiking tour later and hadn't eaten before, I recommend eating here. After seeing the waterfalls and resting, we went on the hiking tour. Our group split into two parts: those who didn't go hiking visited other waterfalls with the driver, while we hiked with the guide. The hike was actually only 1.5 hours long, mostly downhill with dirt paths and steps, but the air was very fresh, and we saw several waterfalls. The instructor and local villagers accompanied us, helping with photos and providing explanations; the overall experience was good. After the hike, we went to a nearby cafe where we could enjoy free coffee and tea. After that, it was lunchtime, with vegetarian and meat options available. After lunch, it was mostly leisurely; we visited the Royal Temple and then went to the local market, which basically concluded the day.★

The trip was incredible. Mountains, clouds so low over the mountains, waterfalls, a sunny valley in a White Karen village, lush green rice fields. And even the rain at the end of the trip didn't stop us from enjoying it all. I'd like to especially thank our guide, Nae, an incredibly friendly woman with excellent English and a genuine desire to help tourists throughout the entire trip!
