Prompt pick up from hotel. Early start is required to ensure best chance of seeing as many birds as possible. Also need to negotiate local traffic. Well informed guide and observant boat skipper made the trip all the better.

Ranjith was really nice and cooperative, i lost my jacket and he took us back and helped to look for it and Luckily I found it. Also we loved the tea testing at the end of the trip. He knew the city really well and explained for us and answered our questions. Definitely recommend!

We had a perfect day. Manaf picked us up absolutely on time and even prepared a fantastic breakfast for us. He was the only guide that day who found a leopard for his guests. The other jeeps were very impressed by my little leopard video. He was also extremely attentive and, despite his constant observation of the animals, sensed when I wanted to take a photo of a little bird and slowed down.

This was a great tour and my guide Vidu was excellent. This is a great trip to take when in Colombo to see some of Sri Lanka outside of the capital city. There are a lot of different activities offered on this tour and Vidu did an amazing job of telling me about all the options and letting me decide what I wanted to do the most. Vidu is also a great driver, which is very important because Sri Lanka traffic is pretty intense, but I was able to just relax and look at scenery with Vidu driving. I would say that you will interact with lots of people on this tour, like boat drivers, farmers, hatchery workers, waiters, etc. While certainly not required to tip everyone, I wish that I would have had a bit more cash with me on this tour so that I could tip all of the hard working people that helped show me a little bit of their wonderful country.


