We chose the 11-mile rafting trip where the guide provides the steering and rowing. The advantage of this trip is that the route is more isolated and you are more likely to see wildlife and actually get a photo. We saw a moose, for instance. Lke many of the guides you meet in Alaska, our guide (Terra) was knowledgeable not just about the river, but about other available activities in the Denali area and all of Alaska.
