This trip was perfect for Chinese New Year. The temperature was pleasant, the hotels were luxurious and clean, and my family loved it. The most recommended part was the Hawaiian beaches – they were truly beautiful.

During my recent trip to Hong Kong, I stayed at two hotels: the Hollywood Disney Hotel and the Harbour Grand Hong Kong in Hung Hom. I wasn't very satisfied with either. First, the Hollywood Disney Hotel was a world apart from the Disneyland Hotel. The facilities, layout, and service were all mediocre. The Harbour Grand Hong Kong felt the same way; the service was very average, not what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Shortly after I checked in, a staff member brought another customer into my room. They later explained that the front desk had made a mistake with the room number. Because I forgot my credit card, I paid the deposit with a debit card, and they said it would take 4-5 weeks to refund it, citing bank issues. We had no idea that the hotel was using this method to tie up our money, benefiting their own cash flow.
