Reviews: Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Glencoe and Pitlochry Tour

Amazing tour with the Hairy Coo tour company. The guide was just amazing! Never have I ever met such knowledgeable person who can so utterly captivate with their storytelling abilities. I came to Scotland with very vague understanding of the Scottish history, especially considering the Jacobite history. After this tour I've finally gathered a lot of valuable information. Also this tour is considered the longest of day tours among others, so be prepared for it. However, you travel on a big comfortable bus and can easily observe the High Lands en route with a lot of stops for sightseeing in different locations. I absolutely recommend this tour and tour company.

The hotel provided a comfortable and pleasant stay overall. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout the visit. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was consistent and responsive to requests. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation options, which made getting around very manageable. The hotel facilities were generally well-kept, and the common areas were clean and welcoming. While there is always room for minor improvements, the overall experience was positive and offered good value for the price paid. This property is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and reliable service. I would consider staying here again in the future.

Fantastic! Our tour guide, Alistair, did a fantastic job; his lovely Scottish accent made listening to his stories a joy. The first stop (about an hour) is at a farm shop where you can buy sandwiches and treats, as well as souvenirs and, of course, a restroom. You can also meet some adorable Highlanders there. After that, it's a fairly long drive to the Highlands, but the view is worth it! Around lunchtime, you'll stop in Fort William for lunch... be careful! Don't go to the restaurant where you park, but go to the one behind it. There, you'll have a delicious and fresh lunch instead of a counter lunch with fluorescent lights and a limited selection! Afterward, you'll continue to the castle and/or take a boat trip, which is highly recommended to break up your day! Afterward, you'll drive to the charming town of Pitlochy, where you unfortunately won't have much time for a proper meal, but you can have a quick drink in the pub or a whiskey ice cream, which is apparently very popular there. Then, back to Edinburgh!
