This is a must do trip. This is the only guided tour we did in Bergen and was 100% worth it. We were with Michael and Lynda, who were a great team. Surprisingly, we had great weather (for the area). The Viking village was authentic. Cute gift shop. The boat is a five minute walk from the Viking village. We sat on the upper deck of the boat in the center and still had a great view. Don’t get anxiety about where you sit. Bring a light raincoat. We had about 40 minutes in Flam to shop at the gift shops or get a bite to eat before the train. Either side of the train is good. We sat on the right and I would do that again. The scenery is gorgeous. Michael had our own car reserved for us. That was a plus because there were several tour groups that did not have the personal space requirements that many feel more comfortable with. You travel on a big bus to the Viking village and then the big bus takes you back from where you get off the train in Voss. The bus was brand new and very comfortable. All in all a great tour. I would give it more than five stars if I could. Food is on the fly and we had lunch on the boat. It was meh, and the line was long. They asked that you do not eat your own food on the boat but I saw others eating a more nutritious lunch than was offered that they had brought.

Two train tickets (including Norway's classic Flambana train) and a return cruise are prepared. There is no tour guide or leader, but the description is very clear. The train transfer is very simple. The first train from Bergen-Myrdal, you will see the Flambana green leather train when you get off the bus. There are a lot of tourists in summer, and you will not miss the train transfer with the big troops. The scenery on the Myrdal-Flam road is beautiful, there is a little rain on the day, but then it is cloudy, occasionally a little sunshine, the fjords and waterfalls are beautiful, and the small colorful houses are very beautiful. We stayed in the small town of Flam for more than 3 hours, and Flam also offers large cruise docking, there are a lot of passengers coming down from the cruise ship, eating and strolling in the small town, and 3 hours passed quickly. We went to a pub called AEGIR, a very Nordic bar, the second floor provides dining, the first floor is almost all drinking, very happy, the atmosphere is in place. You can also go to the small town of Aurland, not far away. The return cruise ship from Flam to Bergen will pass through the narrowest fjord, and will dock in several small towns along the way. The color is very beautiful. Many people take pictures on the deck. It takes a total of 5 hours along the way, which is a little slower than expected. There is also a canteen on the cruise ship, which offers simple meals and a variety of drinks. The trip is full after the day, but not tired, very very beautiful when approaching Bergen pier!
