The first time I went to Mont Blanc, I didn't know the route, and the customer service gave me a road map reference. It is recommended to buy a package ticket for these projects with Blue Ice Cave Cable Car in advance. There will be several viewing spots in the middle of the cable car. The end point is the highest peak with a glass viewing platform. The staff is very friendly and will use your own mobile phone to help take pictures!

This was an amazing day- the highlight of our trip. I never would have found this or thought to coordinate the transportation without this package: I highly recommend it. There isn’t really a guide though- it’s mainly just the transportation from Geneva (at the bus station, go across the street into the travel agency/cafe to meet your right group and bus). The bus takes you an hour into France. Once there, the group will go on their tour and the guide will point you towards the ski rental and tell you to catch the city shuttle to the mountain (not a lot of guidance but adequate). The use of the ski clothes was excellent- bring goggles and gloves and wear sunblock. We came back an hour early and were able to return our rental equipment and still see a bit of the town- which is charming.

Niels was an excellent guide on this full-day adventure, combining many sights with a relaxed pace. The ride to Chamonix was fun and informative, and Mont Blanc and the town were both stunning. We had plenty of time to explore, and the train to the glacier was a perfect finish—Niels’ knowledge and personality made the trip unforgettable.


