Our guide Lily was super nice and had great historical and local knowledge. She offered us to be our photographer during the tour as well, which took like 8 hours btw. She also took us to eat and we could try out some really nice traditional korean meals. She picked us up at our Hostel and dropped us out at the same place at the end (very convenient). We are definitely booking other tours too while staying in Korea. ★

I've been to Korea four times, and this time I wanted to visit a city I hadn't been to before. My trip to Gyeongju was truly a very satisfying travel experience.
Our guide, Sunny, was a native of Gyeongju, but spoke fluent Mandarin. There was also another Mandarin-speaking guide named Mat (I'm not sure if I remember correctly). The whole trip was very fulfilling, and the guides' explanations were excellent. The cafes and snack shops along Hwangri-dan Road are definitely worth trying, and there are many other interesting little shops to explore.
We had lunch at a restaurant in Yangdong Village, and afterwards, we could grab a coffee next door to perk ourselves up.
Overall, Gyeongju is definitely worth visiting. If I had gone two weeks later, the scenery would probably have been even better. I'd love to come back for the winter snow and spring cherry blossoms if I had the chance.
