Reviews: Great Barrier Reef
Guest User2014-04-30
Perhaps influenced by the MH370 incident and the kidnapping, there weren't many people going, making my group of four and I the only four people there that day. Whether on the bus, on the boat, or at mealtimes, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. But the tour guide and boat owner didn't let that stop them from being attentive. The food was even better than the buffet at our five-star hotel. Because there were so few people, the boat owner even took us to see crocodiles with some locals we knew, letting us touch them, and he diligently helped us find proboscis monkeys, trying to get us as close as possible to see them. The fireflies at night were truly spectacular, a beauty that words and cameras can't capture. They echoed the stars in the sky, making it hard to tell whether the stars were adorning the trees or the fireflies had taken flight.

Reviews: Whitsunday Islands 1 hr scenic flight [See Heart Reef at Great Barrier Reef/Whitehaven Beach/Hill Inlet]

Aside from the unexpected price increase by Ctrip, I was very satisfied. The Great Barrier Reef is absolutely stunning!

Reviews: Scenic flight to the Whitsundays to see Heart Reef, Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet (departing from Hamilton Island)
Guest User2026-09-19
Overall, the experience was fantastic, and the view of the white sand beach was beautiful! 🤩 The only downside was that the seats were really cramped, but that's understandable since it only seats about 10 people. Also, I felt the trip time wasn't very clear; if you're unsure, it's best to ask customer service directly!

Reviews: 1-day/half-day tour to the Whitsunday Islands Airlie Beach Whitehaven Beach [optional cruise/sailing boat/speedboat]
Guest User2026-05-13
Really nice day out. Well worth the trip. Staff on the day were very pleasant and helpful. The advert could do with a note detailed itinerary and description of facilities at the beach (there are none). Recommend dressing for the beach before arriving at check in. You stop at daydream and Hamilton along the way but you don't have time to explore, it is purely pick-up and drop off.

Reviews: Hamilton Island self-guided tour 1-day tour [Round-trip boat ticket + lunch from Airlie Beach]
Guest User2026-06-11
The restaurant where MH had lunch was the far left one on the left after disembarking at the pier. You could board the boat directly using the QR code, and since we arrived at the island early, we even got a boat to the island a day earlier. Overall, it was very convenient.
