What a great trip and unbelievable value for money. Very easy booking process and transfer to boat in Ha Long Bay. The views in Ha Long Bay are absolutely out of this world and we did really interesting activities. Food on boat was good and plentiful. After a night on the boat I transferred to Cat Ba island, the hotel was small but the room was perfect, I paid an additional $60 as a solo traveler but it was still great value. Then a final day boat trip, once more in Ha Long Bay but totally different activities and again great food and very interesting. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone★

The tour was wonderful, but I disagree with another review that it wouldn't be cheaper individually. The tour is a combined package: you travel from Hanoi with one guide, then the guide picks you up in Sapa, but it's better to pay than worry about all the connections. Ket-Ket village is a street full of souvenirs. One local house and an empty French power station are easy to miss. If you haggle, you can knock the price down threefold. There was an interesting performance (dancing, instruments, games), but we were given very little time for it; I wish there had been more. We stayed in a great hotel with a view, but ours was a wall, but it was fine for an overnight stay. The second day on Phan Xi Pan was great; we had enough time to see everything, but not everyone will have time. Overall, everything was as described, except for the welcome drink (there wasn't one, which is a shame, since water is not included with dinner, breakfast, and lunch). I would have liked a little more history about Sapa; you could even print out a summary on an A4 sheet. Overall 10 out of 10 except for the welcome drink.★

Everything went great. A person met us at immigration control, led us to a separate line, and we were through in a minute. But we still had to stand around for about 20 minutes waiting for our bags 🤣★

Great chef and awesome introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. However, my experience was a bit hampered because of the family from Hong Kong with kid/s below 10 years of age (I thought the event was only for those at least 10 years old). The kids were running while we were cooking and I was afraid they might run over the hot pan and may spill the oil. The family also didn’t pay for the father’s participation but he ate a lot (even including the spring rolls which the kids ate a lot of). Otherwise, the recipes were great.★

We booked the 120-minute combo of body massage and nourishing shampoo, and it was the best experience we had in Hanoi! I was a bit nervous since there was no time slot reservation, but the English-speaking male receptionist welcomed us right away, and within five minutes, we were having a relaxing foot soak and tea. We were then ushered to the 3rd floor for the massage. The one-hour full body massage was amazing — my masseuse kept checking if the pressure was fine and had truly magical hands. My husband’s masseuse was equally great and relieved all his knots. After that came the head, shoulder, and neck massage, hot stones, a facial, and a mask. They even shampooed, conditioned, and blow-dried our hair after rinsing the oil. I was so relaxed I actually dozed off toward the end. Definitely worth trying! We went to La Spa 16 — highly recommend!
